MIND YOUR CHARACTER … SUNDAY SPECIAL!!!
===================================
– DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE ‘FOR WANT OF TRYING”!

*Today, I’m sharing interesting stories about certain personal life lessons that have produced amazing results in my life and pursuits.
*Kindly follow the stories of how I first met each of the faces your saw as NCPS 2019 discussants.
*I believe that in intentional living, one must be able to explain his processes and not just the results, (However, get ready for lengthy post!)

#SUSAN TAYO
*In 2017, a friend – Pastor Timi David hosted a couples event and asked me to be among discussants. I attended and did my bit. There, I noticed the substance being delivered by this Mrs. Tayo, who looked younger than her age, sitting to my immediate left. I got to know she’s a fine teenage parenting coach. Pronto, I sought my host’s permission to have her at NCPS 2017 and she came. She’s been a panelist at NCPS for three consecutive years already! … And she’s done so without charges! I can’t remember what else I left that couples’ event with but I know I found a big sister and vision bearer there. When you see what you want, ask for it!

#DOYIN OGUNBIYI
*Just this May, I had gone to network with other female entrepreneurs at Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja at an event hosted by Business Career Forum; then it was time for the keynote speech embellished with a story telling session.
*First I had goose pimples, then tears at some point. Wow! I thought, “this is huge”. I had never heard of her before – a woman who has been commissioner about thrice in Ogun State and pioneered so many initiatives, yet so unassuming and level headed! And her zero to hero story inspired hope; I left the hall lit. But no without a resolve that she must come and inspire participants at NCPS 2019! Tough call yeah, but I know when I want something too badly to take a ‘No’. Next, I got in touch with the host of the event. She pumped up my confidence volume, connected me with Mrs. Ogunbiyi and the rest as they say is history! Meeting her one-on-one for the first time on Aug 3rd felt like we had known for ages. I’m currently being mentored by her!

*I also met her first at a church education sensitisation forum at Calvary Bible Church, Idumu. She was the guest speaker. As soon as she was done. I made moves to establish contact with her. She was so pleasant and receptive that she even followed up on the event voluntarily and helped with inviting schools within the locality. It was a great honour having her speak at the recently held NCPS.

#MOYINOLUWA OLUTAYO
*I met this geogeous woman so many years ago during a press conference that she hosted somewhere in Ikeja. Had to interview her for my page in Punch Newspapers sometimes. I have enjoyed her pleasant personality for these seasons even when we met on other platforms post Punch.
*She is very humble, passionate and sacrificial towards any cause she believes in. She has stood with us on NCPS for two years 2017 and 2019.

#DAVID ADEGBOYEGA
*His first meeting is the most graphic for me.
*On fateful day in 2017, a got a call. it was from a character coach, who had listened to our radio show – MIND YOUR CHARACTER and was very impressed. He said he needed to meet me and so he came all the way to Akowonjo one afternoon. That began a journey of a thriving partnership.

#MORAYO AFOLABI-BROWN
*Except that I thoroughly love her TV show – YOUR VIEW, I had no contacts with her until NCPS 2016.
*We had invited the NIJ Provost/my father in journalism/at Punch Newspaper – Mr. Gbemiga Ogunleye to be one of our discussants alongside Mrs. Yinka Ogunde, Mrs. Bunmi One and Mrs. Olabisi Deji-Folutile. Our team had invited Morayo as a guest.
*Surprisingly she attended and made contributions from the audience. She later said jokingly that, “I came purposely because I saw my Oga – Mr. Ogunleye among the panelists.”
*By the next year, we invited her but she couldn’t come. So recommended another competent woman – Uwa. But we didn’t stop requesting to have her until she could make it the year. … And it was worth the wait! She delivered. Never get disappointed when things don’t work as planned when you wanted them, if you stay on excitedly and for long enough, you will have exactly why you wanted!

LESSONS LEARNT FROM THESE:
==========================
*Dear speaker: When you go to functions to speak, don’t only give out substance, position yourself to receive substance too – network!
*When you get invitations to speak or make appearances, never base your interest only on the pay as some free events have more to offer you and for longer.
*My advise:pease have a percentage of your professional services annually that the public can access for free. Make that your CSR.
*Dear Visioner, go for who you want, even when you can’t afford it financially, so can get it all the same.
*To get the best of anything, you must be DARING, DAUNTLESS AND DETERMINED.
*You know that most dreams first appear as whispers; too hush for another’s ears to pick, so you have to believe in your dream to see them become a reality.
*Never lose any chance just for the want of trying!
*Try, Ask, Push, it just might work!
*And learn to deal with NO! it’s never final!
*REACH OUT! GO GET IT! YOU WILL SUCCEED!

I’m Bosede Olusola-Obasa and I’m excited about adding value to you.
