*I had to do one more in my series of post-NCPS lessons firstly because of requests I received to expatiate on a recent post I did on volunteering for a cause.
*Secondly, this gives me the opportunity to honour to real heroes of NCPS 2019 (I mean the backroom operatives).
*They are most times unassuming, easygoing, nioseless, yet highly impactful. They move and shake things.
*For these set of people, NCPS is not a one-day event because they would have been in several strategy sessions online and on ground for several months before and after the D-Day.
*Therefore, I urge those who needed clarity on the many ways to volunteer to simply ‘copy and paste’ the actions exhibited by the following volunteers.

*Jeffrey Ehikioya Itepu I is the current General Manager, PERTINENCE Ltd; however, in his personal capacity, he is a serial NCPS volunteer. Proudly for four consecutive years, his key contribution has been coordinating a 50-man volunteer NCPS team. To do this, he deploys time to source, sort, communicate, cater to and mobilise the team which is arguably the most duty-bound volunteer team I have seen. Jeff’s main NCPS investment therefore is his time, intellect and relational skills. He takes on the burden of people management; he adds value to the team.

*Peter Adetula is a professional in his own right. He is a graphic design wizard, a wonder creative. He is the CEO of ThinkHard. For four consecutive years, he has designed the main and supplementary NCPS publicity items – the invitation cards (for hard and soft copy uses) and other publicity items. His volunteer effort sees him graphically interpreting the theme for each year, he creates perspective that form a drag net and generate public interests and following. By his contribution, he saves the organisers the budget that should have gone to designs.

*Peter Aniedi is a great visual artist, he is an experienced technical drawing teacher, he is a business manager and recently, he added Uber services to his area of business. He amazed the team this year when he walked up to the organisers and offered to do any service requiring transportation for the day. He volunteered and delivered his service as promised. He saved NCPS some cost by investing his time and opportunity.

*Sanctified Sylars currently manages REDi Studio. He is an amazing musician, music producer, audio/visual content creator and manager. It was his first time as a NCPS volunteer. He took charge of the pre, during and post NCPS affairs that fell under his professional jurisdiction. He produced jingles, he did voiceovers, he packaged and edited multimedia contents and coordinated the light, sound and video recording team. And, he does his thing effortlessly. One thing stood out for him – flow of ideas. He gave his professional skills, creative thinking skills and team spirit.

*Oluwagbenga Sunday Olorunsheyi is the quiet mover of the NCPS dream. He is a successful serial entrepreneur. Annually, he picks up at least 85% of the total cost for hosting NCPS! He has done so for five years! Apart from financial investments, he contributes ideas and mostly leverages his platforms especially at PERTINENCE in favour of the NCPS legacy. For two years, we have used the massive hall free of charge! He doesn’t have the time to be at all meetings, but send his finances.

*Eunice Azonabor Iwu is the CEO, Dore Concept – a decor specialist cum event handling outfit. She has done NCPS decoration every time the need arose. She has a volunteer/partnership arrangement on NCPS, so she deploys her decor items, time and manpower to ensure that the hall looks welcoming to all.

*Gbemiga August is the CEO of GbemigaAugustPhotography – an off-the-hook moments’ documenting outfit. He has a volunteering/partnership understanding with NCPS. August never ceases to bring his touch of class to bear.

*Damilare Oshokoya and Lucy Alozie, both bigwigs of Pettysave Limited, created a mindshift this year when they requested that their team be allowed to manage the NCPS registration stand! All they sought in return was to be allowed to wear their company branded tops, while executing the NCPS duty!

*The list of NCPS VOLUNTEERS’ stories is endless.
*So, you see, volunteering has no specific form. It’s about assisting, helping, supporting to make things happen.
*I trust that you found this useful. Join, let’s do more freely for the world!

*I’m Bosede Olusola-Obasa and I’m excited about adding value to you.

*Pics show some volunteers’ moments of glam.
